Celta Course

After the retreat our teammates returned to the project while we stayed in Thailand to take a short course (CELTA) which will certify us to teach English. This is part of our plan to extend our circle of influence and bring us in contact with more people. It has been a very intense and challenging course but we have learned immense amounts and feel empowered and confident to teach. For the mornings we were students, then in the afternoons we became teachers teaching real ESL students from Thailand and Cambodia! It was initially nerve-wracking! We learned to teach both beginner and intermediate levels. We have just finished the course and thank God for giving us the stamina we needed since it has been a long time since we’ve been in school!
